Question: Is it permissible to accept gifts (monetary or other wise) in lieu of leading the taraweeh prayers?

Answer: It is not permissible to accept any type of remuneration in lieu of leading the taraweeh prayers. On the other hand, if one had no aspirations of receiving anything, and co- incidentally, the congregants gave some thing, then it would be permissible to accept it.
