Question: What is the ruling if a talaaq is issued with the words ''OUR MARRIGE IS OVER''?

Answer: If a talaaq is issued with the words ''OUR MARRIGE IS OVER''this would fall under Kinaayaat [indirect words of talaaq]. If these words were uttered with the intention of talaaq then one talaaq raj'ee[revocable talaaq] will fall.

If a few talaaqs were issued in this way without the intention of emphasis but rather with intention of each being a separate talaaq then three talaaqs will fall.

The period of iddat will be three haidh ie. The iddat period will terminate at the end of the third haidh.
